An interview last week made me realized that perhaps I’m more suitable to work in research lab instead of a manufacturing factory. Even if it is a temporary job while I wait for yet another commencing academic year, I find it hard to imagine myself working in the industries. With the unpredicted outcome of my scholarship, I never stop to venture into the vast opportunities that lay ahead of me. After all, the world is an oyster. It has so much to offer and so many divergences of routes. For now, I shall be patient and continue to explore. :)
Unlike my overexcited course mates, I find convocation is yet another boring ceremony that everyone has to experience at least once in their lifetime. It’s an event that you wait and you sweat. The good thing is that you get to see friends once again after months of separation and you get to witness the big shot on the stage wearing all sorts of stylish robes. That’s all. I find the prize-giving ceremony in the afternoon more exciting, partly because of the money (yes, I’m money-faced) and at the same time, I get to present a public speech to thank the people I wanted to without the need to tell them personally which can be awkward if you’re not good at small talk. :)
