I'm loving it!

Entering week 7 of my life in Lausanne and I already feel like I belonged here. I never know I would enjoy the poster presentation so much that I wish the time for presentation can be prolonged and more professional people can stop over to hear us out and some constructive criticisms are much appreciated. I guess overall it’s the repetitious “story-telling” part that I enjoyed most. As a scientist once said, journal and other form of media including poster represent all your hard work during the duration of your research. So, you have to explain it like a story where you begin with a prologue, conclude with a nice ending and adding a bit of suspense in the middle.

The poster presentation marked the end of the program where everyone but me will be leaving. Well, I’m sure everyone had a great experience with their own definition of “fun”. I personally had a lot of fun with Superbrain and Superbelly, going out after work for free city tour, dances and musicals which were all conducted in French! Yes, we shall reunite either at Malaria, Typhoon or Cholera! (OK, this started with the Peking guy who mistaken Malaysia as Malaria, so you can guess what the other 2 are!).

I have less than 3 weeks here and I’m moving out! This new place is so awesome that the program coordinator should place me here since Day 1! Ya, I wish! The nuns are so friendly and the people here are so much different from those in my program! They are simply friendly and here, I felt respected! Yes, there wasn’t much respect from the people in my program. It’s like returning a smile might cause the end of the world. Anyway, there’ll be dinner starting tomorrow and the menu list looks appetizing! Ratatouille is one of them!

Oh and I received a free apple at the morning market today! Seriously, I’m loving this place!
